Game Log 2: Play


We presented our idea to the expert council and received the following feedback. We needed to make multiple strategies to progress in the game. This way there is more player freedom to choose how they want to play. We also got the tip of adding a bit more factors to the game to consider when making a choice. Like people hating things to be built near them. One of them pointed to an existing game that had the same idea as we have. We should take a look and see how they have approached things. We agreed with all the feedback given and will try to implement as many of them as possible.

In the museum they used games to bring along an important lesson so we planned to do something similar. Our goal is to teach players that climate change is complicated and can’t be solved in a day. It would also take some hard decisions so we hope that players would be more understanding and acknowledge the complexity of the problem. We used Lego to display the different energy buildings you can build in our game and how they would affect our core gameplay.
